Become a volunteer
All HaverSports events require a small army of volunteer marshals to run successfully. Marshal roles range from being on the road to direct athletes, being at a water station or handing out medals and goody bags at the finish line. There are roles to suit all and many are suitable for doing with your children. Being a volunteer can be a great day out and your efforts will be appreciated by athletes, organiser and our beneficiaries alike!
As a volunteer marshal you will be a given a clear briefing either before the event or on the day and positioned at a station you agree with.
As our events support a charity you will be doing your bit for the charity on the day and also to support local sports events. We also aim to offer a great atmosphere for all and will be looking to develop a keen team of volunteers for all events as we grow.
We offer a 'credit' system to marshals whereby they earn credits for volunteering which can be used to get free race entry. To find out more or if you are interested in becoming a marshal, then please get in touch.
